Principal Accountabilities

Payroll

  • Assist in processing Payroll – collect payroll documentation and complete input spreadsheet in an accurate and timely manner
  • Liaise with 3rd party payroll provider
  • Assist in setting standards and propose timetables for data which will allow efficient and effective processing
  • Assist in advising colleagues on appropriate procedures in line with VTB’s guidelines
  • Assist in regular review and reconciliation of all relevant control accounts
  • Maintain adequate documentation of all payroll/payments in accordance with VTB’s policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining all written procedures relating to Payroll processing
  • Ensure that issues are promptly identified and followed up and that any queries or requests for information are responded to promptly
  • Ensure that all month and year end activities are carried out to the agreed timetable
  • Assist with external audit requirements
  • Assist in good internal and external relationship management
  • Preparation of ad hoc reporting as required
  • Ensure payroll and third party payments are reconciled, funded and charged correctly and in a timely manner to the General Ledger
  • Undertake such duties as reasonably requested by the Line Manager

HR

  • Support HR Business Partner
  • HR invoice submission. tracking, analysis, approval and collation to forward  to accounts payable
  • Undertake such duties as reasonably requested by the Line Manager

Key Competencies & Qualifications

Technical

  • Previous payroll experience
  • Strong PC literacy including excellent practical knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Previous experience of data management/ maintenance and responsibility for accuracy of data within HR systems

Personal

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Drive, ability to work under pressure, flexible
  • Ability to prioritise/ strong organisational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Team player
