Head, Global Community Programmes, Group Public Affairs & Sustainability

Programme Design and Delivery

· Oversee the delivery of the Bank's three core community programmes - Seeing is Believing, Goal and financial education - and ensure programmes deliver high quality impact.

· Seeing is Believing

§ Oversee strategy development and management of stakeholders, including the executive champion.

§ Manage key relationships with NGOs and executive sponsor.

§ Supervise fundraising strategy to meet external commitments.

· Goal

§ Oversee implementation of Goal strategy, including integration of employability and entrepreneurship programme components.

§ Manage key relationships with NGOs and executive sponsor.

· Financial education

§ Supervise growth and implementation of the Bank's two financial education programmes: Financial Education for Youth and Education for Entrepreneurs.

§ Maintain relationship with executive sponsor and other internal stakeholders.

· Guide the delivery of the Bank's employee volunteering (EV) programme to ensure strong levels of engagement from across the organisation.

· Deliver the next phase of the Bank's community programme strategy which will build on the Bank's current programme portfolio and introduce additional programmes focused on employability and entrepreneurship.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Engage internal stakeholders to develop and deliver the Bank's community programmes including members of the Management Team and Board and colleagues across the Bank's markets.

· Collaborate with external stakeholders, including NGO partners, to deliver the Bank's community programmes.

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

· Ensure all programmes have robust and verifiable metrics, outputs and evaluation mechanisms and produce annual M&E reports for each programme.

· Monitor, and mitigate risks associated with community programmes and align with the Bank's internal policies and procedures.

Communications and Reporting

· Raise awareness of the Bank's community impact through internal and external communication channels.

· Prepare external reporting for the Bank's annual Sustainability Summary.

Team Management

· Responsible for direct line management of the Group community programme team.

Skills and Experience Required:

§ Significant experience designing and delivering community programmes with a focus on programmes in emerging markets

§ Demonstrated experience managing NGO or other stakeholder relationships and strong understanding of sustainability and corporate community investment

§ Experience managing teams and networks across multiple geographies

§ Excellent writing, communication (including public speaking), and project management skills

§ Ability to influence and communicate at all levels within an organisation, including executive level engagement

§ Commercial approach, dedicated to operational excellence

§ Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with excellent time management

§ Experience working in or with the markets where the Bank operates across Africa, Asia and the Middle East

§ This role will involve travel to markets
