Group Central Finance is responsible for delivering the Lloyds Banking Group quarterly external results. We are also guardians of the Group's accounting policies; key financial controls; financial plans and forecasts and monthly management results including key performance indicators. We provide external Finance reporting and co-ordinate all stress test exercises and submissions.

The Accounting Development Programme (ADP) team is part of Central Finance and provides technical oversight, direction and guidance on the implementation of new accounting standards across the Group. Current focus is on the implementation of IFRS 9, a complex standard involving substantial changes to risk models, finance systems and reporting processes.

This role requires excellent accounting and reporting knowledge, together with the ability to apply judgement and make recommendations on the implementation of new accounting policies and practices.

You'll hold a senior role within the accounting policy centre of excellence that supports the whole Group in terms of accounting technical advice regarding products and transactions. Using your technical accounting expertise you'll work closely with Programme Managers and drive the programme forward, identifying key issues to escalate and resolve them.
The ability to coach, lead and inspire others is essential as you'll manage a small team and you'll need the ability to work independently on a wide variety of issues such as systems development, target operating models, project management, and running impact assessments.

A track record of dealing with large complex technical issues ideally from a banking environment is essential.Strong Interpersonal and communication skills are paramount.

You'll prepare and present updates to technical and non-technical senior stakeholders such as steering committees, audit committees and participate in external working groups such as UK Finance as well as provide oversight, direction and challenge to IFRS implementation plans.
Essential
* Accounting Qualification ACA / ACCA
* Deep Accounting Technical knowledge
* Proven experience of dealing with senior executives within a program environment
Desirable
* Previous experience of working in/with banking
