Head of Client Management, VP

Responsible for the design of client solutions, day to day client management activities and broader relationship management oversight. In addition, you will act as Relationship Manager covering risk, administration, collateral management and transfer agency which will require regular travel to support locations and EMEA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for duties including the following:
  • Managing client management team remotely out of India to ensure best in class client service
  • Provide Subject matter expertise to support business development activities
  • Designing and oversight of client engagement including relationship management activities to maintain and where possible increase revenues
  • Ensure deals are priced correctly and manage implementation to agreed budget
  • Ensure onboarding of new clients or new release to existing clients is achieved within agreed timelines
  • Inputting into strategic direction of business and management committee contribution to achieving stated business objectives.

Level of Education/ Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2:1 Degree
  • Masters or further education desirable, but not essential

Role specifics & competencies:
  • Considerable experience of implementing, operating and servicing clients who invest in hedge fund managed accounts
  • Excellent knowledge of hedge strategies and key drivers of risk and return
  • Understanding of Asset Owner / Asset Management key requirements for alternative investing
  • Ability to be creative and produce innovative customized solutions
  • Demonstrable experience of working with clients including understanding and implementation of new requirements
  • Experience in onboarding of hedge fund managed accounts
  • French speaking desirable, but not essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Results-oriented and able to apply technical and legal knowledge to deliver practical solutions within applicable regulatory and risk parameters
  • Ability to manage, motivate and develop diverse, cross geography teams
  • Pro-active with strong project management skills and an ability to execute within required timeframes projects with multiple internal stakeholders (such as compliance, risk, operations and tax);
  • Acts in a positive and collaborative manner to assist colleagues and management with workloads, projects (including those which may be across other business lines) and holiday cover/absences;
  • Works in a transparent manner, updating management and internal clients with clear and detailed updates and matter logs, as required;
  • Ability to work calmly and in a measured way under pressures, tight timelines and/or high volume of work;
  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills with ability to maintain strong relationships with clients, peers and staff across all internal corporate and business departments;
  • Establish and support a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear sense of accountability and high standard of work in performing your and your teams role
  • Awareness of the need to (i) ensure global consistency and standards, (ii) ensure matters of a global nature or potential global nature are discussed with management in a timely manner, and (iii) work with the US/global teams as appropriate.
