About the role

This role sits within the Finance, Planning & Performance Directorate, reports directly to the Director of Finance, Planning & Performance, and is responsible for all Finance Business Partnering teams, comprising approximately 18 employees based in multiple locations. The post holder will be Finance Business Partner to the Chief Operating Officer.

About you

We are looking for a highly experienced and ambitious finance leader who will develop and implement a strong and effective finance business partnering ethos across Alzheimer’s Society.  The Head of Finance-Business Partnering will ensure the delivery of robust financial plans and analysis that support the Society in achieving its strategic goals and operational effectiveness.

You will possess a proven track record of driving financial performance in large, complex organisations and delivering on strategic ambitions. You will identify financial risks and issues as they arise, assess their likely impact and devise appropriate responses.  You will bring a strong commercial mind-set and drive effective investment choices in the delivery of our business plans.

You will have previous experience of inspiring and leading high performing teams to even greater levels of success.  This will enable you to support the Society in delivering its ambitious strategy to grow the scale and reach of services being delivered to people affected by dementia.

As a senior member of our Finance Planning and Performance Leadership Team you will be at the heart of a new and exciting change programme impacting the finance function. .  Your skills and experience will enhance our new directorate and you will be part of a significant change in this leading charity's future.
