Huge amount of influence / visibility internally across my clients' main Global office locations You will be an experienced asset management professional with a broad and varied skill-set across Product, Sales / Distribution Support, and, oversight of Global Third Party vendors Knowledge of both illiquid closed ended strategies (private debt / real estate etc.), AND, liquid open ended investment strategies is key

The Opportunity:

  • Completely newly created role with an opportunity to really shape it. Offers a huge amount of influence / visibility internally across my clients' main Global office locations. Very high profile
  • Working for an award winning Global asset manager who through consolidation has broadened out its product range to include a diverse range of investment vehicles / funds across both closed ended private market investments, and, open ended credit, multi-asset and equity funds invested in publicly traded liquid securities
  • Specific illiquid product range includes direct lending funds / private debt, real estate, mezzanine funds, CLOs etc..
  • This role has a truly Global remit with an objective of ensuring consistency of process / governance / controls across all relevant Global offices that support the fund sales process, especially as increasing cross-border sales is a major focus for my client
  • The focus is to tie together Global processes and ensure that the Distribution efforts are fully supported and coordinated

More specific responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight & control of Global registration process in international markets with third party provider
  • Assist with business development (e.g. Fund launches, Client conversions etc.) and with investor take-on processes
  • Assist with Review of fund prospectuses, operating memorandums and key fund documentation
  • Liaise with sales team/transfer agents and investors on queries (contract notes, statements, etc.)
  • Interact with administrator's registrations department on resolution of AML Customer Due Diligence (CDD) issues
  • Vendor management Monitoring of and liaising with different Transfer Agency providers. Assist in Transfer Agent Project Implementation (internal and external)
  • Ongoing maintenance of and updates to fund subscription, redemption and transfer documentation across UCITS and QIFs
  • Manage UCITS KIIDS production processes by external third party
  • Oversee Distribution Oversight resource and integrate into wider business model
  • Oversee Regulatory Report resource (Mifid II, PRIIPS etc)
  • Stakeholder Management - work at all levels across the business with Sales, Operations, Legal & Compliance teams and other members of the Structuring functions, as appropriate
  • Update and work with Senior Management, Board of Directors on related Investor Onboarding matters to resolution

Your Experience:

  • You will be a highly experienced asset management professional with a broad and varied skill-set across Product, Sales / Distribution, and, oversight of Global Third Party vendors including TPAs, Transfer Agents, and ideally working knowledge of European Clearing Houses and Trading Platforms e.g. Fundsettle, Euroclear, Vestima, EMX, AllFunds, NSCC
  • Possess a strong record of academic achievement along with completion of relevant financial / investment management specific qualifications
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of commerciality and experience of working cross-border. Experience of working in different overseas jurisdictions would be valuable, in particular Asia and the US
  • Experience of leading relationships with TPAs based offshore in perhaps Ireland, Luxembourg etc
  • What is absolutely key is demonstrable working knowledge of both illiquid closed ended strategies (private debt / real estate etc.), AND, liquid open ended investment strategies investing in publicly listed equities / fixed income securities
  • You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written along with a passionate client centric focus and superior stakeholder management experience
  • Be highly organized and analytical, with the ability to make clear / accurate commercially astute decisions
