Our client is a European Real Estate Asset Management firm based in central London. The business continues to grow and requires an experienced qualified accountant to manage a small team who cover Financial and Management reporting, Tax and Corporate Compliance for investment portfolio projects.

The Role:

  • Plan and manage the selection process and appointment of local SPV accounting firm and corporate administrators for new investments
  • Assist and advise in the creation of SPV structures
  • Plan, manage and oversee the annual tax compliance and financial audit for all investment entities (including interim audits where necessary)
  • Oversee the quarterly and annual financial statements reporting to lender banks
  • Coordinate and oversee the local SPV accountants and out-sourced / third party corporate administrators
  • Advise the Workout Team on accounting and corporate administration matters in relation to enforcement entities
  • Assist with the selection process for the local accounting firm and corporate administrators to be appointed for Real Estate Owned entities
  • Finalise the acquisition accounting for Real Estate Owned entities including interpreting the funds flow from the Workout/Legal team to local SPV accountants
  • Monitor the annual tax compliance for Real Estate Owned investments
  • Run the Investment Accounting Team including line management of 3 people
  • Oversee and monitor third party / outsourced accounting firms and corporate administrators

Requirements:

  • You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Demonstrable experience managing an Investment Accounting function, ideally within Real Estate or Private Equity
  • Experience of dealing with external auditors and coordinating the consolidation of multiple SPVs for reporting purposes.
  • Excellent attention to detail
