The Position
Wellington is on a journey to build our next-generation of Identity and Access Management tools and processes firm-wide.  Working at across the entire organization, we are implementing new approaches and technologies to closely align access to business roles and build processes to allow access to be more easily managed by those closest to the business.  Wellington is looking for a collaborative and energetic leader who can roll up his/her sleeves with both the business and technology areas and help drive this high-profile initiative forward. 

This role provides leadership across the program, working closely with the business, Information Technology, Information Security, HR, Internal Audit and senior management to implement and roll out our new access control models and technology.  As this initial program picks up momentum and becomes operational, we expect the program to continue to expand scope in other areas of identity access management including assisting IT and business teams in areas such as client identity management, identity federation, and access anomaly profiling.

To be successful in this role, the candidate has to excel at straddling both business and technology processes and aligning sometimes competing interests by consensus building and strong contextual leadership.  The candidate must be detail oriented, an exceptional listener and communicator, one who leads by example and who responsibility for the outcome.  No task to big, no task to small. 

Familiarity with Identity and Access models and technologies are a big plus, but what is even more important is a working understanding of a breadth of related or similar processes and technologies, strong relationship, consensus building, and cross-functional rollout skills.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience as a IT professional in the financial services industry preferable
  • Very good understanding of business analysis processes/concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Strong Program and project management skills
  • Strong client relationship skills and proven ability to build consensus.  Experience working directly with business partners to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Experience writing requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plans
  • Change agent, creative, innovative and focused on continuous improvements
  • Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced team environment
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high degree of ownership of outcomes
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree is desired
