In Business Risk & Regulatory Manager

Job Purpose:
  • Ensure the business is complying with both internal policies, and external regulations.
  • Implement any new regulation or policy and make sure the business has appropriate controls and oversight over them.
  • Work closely with the second line of defence to ensure we have robust controls in place.
Job Background / Context:
Issuer Services, part of ICG's BCMA division, delivers scaled and bespoke administrative services in support of Debt and Equity Capital Market transactions, Loans and other forms of capital raising / deployment. Issuer Services is a global business with offices located in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, UK, Ireland, Germany, Dubai, Kenya, Korea, Hong Kong, Italy, India, Nigeria and Singapore.
A Business Risk position is available within the Issuer Services ('Issuer') business located in London, UK.  The successful applicant will have Risk & Regulatory responsibilities for EMEA Issuer Services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Issuer Services Risk & Regulatory team.
  • Coordinate and conduct the GRC review of the EMEA business.
  • Make sure the business is compliant with sanctions and in accordance with GOSSM
  • Implement upcoming Regulations such as AMLD5.
  • Participate in the Client Asset and Client Deposit Protection governance meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with MiFID II
  • Provide governance around KYC for Product Managed names.
  • Contribute to the CoB plans for the business.
  • Participate in deal review as appropriate
  • Contribute to audit and control activities
  • Contribute to department projects.
  • Any other duties as required

Person Specification
  • The candidate should have good understanding of the Issuer Services business, underlying products, markets / industry, clients and deal execution.
  • Working knowledge of Citi's Risk & Regulatory policies.
  • Working knowledge of CASS and Depositor Protection.
  • Project management skills

  • Strong transaction management / execution & negotiation skills
  • Excellent client management ability
  • The candidate should possess very strong written
and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and disseminate key information
contained within complex transaction documents.
  • Ability to self-start and to learn rapidly.

  • Educated to Business degree level or equivalent.
  • Ideally five years' + of experience in an Issuer
  • Services environment, banking, transactional, and / or client facing experience

  • Confident and polished client management skills
are a must.
  • Leadership and business management skills are
also essential.
  • Ability to assimilate large quantities of data and

client dialogue.
