My client is a leading Industrials focussed M&A boutique with offices in serval locations globally including the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. Due to continued deal flow they are seeking to grow out their London office at the execution level and are looking to hire M&A professionals at the Analyst, Associate & VP level. The firm boast a strong network of contacts principally in the Industrials and high growth-related sectors and have a long history in the space having been active for over 25 years.

The firm completes the majority of its work by winning sell-side M&A mandates and then utilises its global network in finding the right strategic buyers for its clients.  The vast majority of their work is sell-side M&A; however, have great relationships with major blue chip names and have provided buy-side advice throughout their 25 year history.  They firm on average complete over 20 plus deals a year and have a strong success rate in completing cross-border M&A transactions within the Mid-Market $100m - $1bn plus EV.

M&A Vice President: Ideal Background:

  • You must have 5-7 years M&A experience from a Bank/ Boutique or Big Four
  • Through knowledge of the complexities and nuances associated with M&A transactions and the ability to apply your previous skills to work with the firm’s diverse client list
  • Must be a team-player and show willing in reviewing analysts/associates work models, valuations, and take responsibility in training and mentoring and the associate & analyst pool
  • Desire to want to take on a leading role in client pitches and origination
  • Strong financial judgement, particularly in modelling matters, with strong analytic skills; particularly DCF`s and LBO`s.  This must be identifiable when deals are discussed in interview. 

M&A Vice President Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the Analyst & Associate role in depth
  • Assist in execution of Sell-Side & Buy-Side transactions
  • Management and training of Associates & Analysts
  • Attending client pitches with MD’s
  • Must be able to build rapport with client base
  • Aid with client meetings and pitches; and providing strategic advice and proposals
  • Ensure financial models are robust and accurate


Salaries for an M&A Vice President vary depending on experience and bank tier:

  • £100,000 - £150,000 (Depending on Experince) plus bonus (100% minimum - Bonuses are uncapped and could be more depending on teams success).

M&A Associate Skills & Requirements:

  • 3-5 years M&A experience from a Bank or recognised M&A boutique
  • Must have a desire to develop a long-term career in M&A
  • Desire and experience in reviewing analysts work models, valuations, and wish to develop analysts in their training
  • Show desire to want to aid in client presentations and where appropriate assist in origination
  • Strong numeracy and modelling skills, particularly in valuation matters (DCF`s and LBO`s models)
  • Creation and Review of Financial Models produced
  • Production of IM and running the Auction process
  • Liaison with Clients when required


  • £75,000 - £100,000 depending on experience plus bonus (100% plus - Bonuses are uncapped)   


  • You must have 1-3 years M&A experience from a bank, recognised boutique or Big 4 accountancy firm: in M&A department


  • Assisting senior members of staff in execution of deals
  • Preparation of pitchbooks and related marketing techniques
  • Generation of financial models
  • Creating models for valuation metrics
  • Drafting Information Memorandums for sell-side transactions and company forecast models
  • Updating internal databases


  • £45,000 - £60,000 plus bonus (100%)
