Responsibilities

This role sits in the End User Services (EUS) team, within infrastructure Services. In this role you will be expected to design and deliver new Technical Services for Kingfisher group across a variety of Technical Services that fall under the EUS teams. This role is a predominately Design / Project-orientated role, with an expected 80/20 design to delivery workload split.

You will be providing technical governance across projects, BAU and related SIPs as well as engaging domain and enterprise architects to achieve programme consistency. The role will see you advising colleagues and customers of feasibility and risks of potential solutions and support creations of project mandates.

You will be creating infrastructure designs, performing solution evaluation as needed against requirements - balancing requirements, cost and risk and peer reviewing design documents from virtual design team, identifying opportunities for shared platforms and services, simplification and cost reduction.

In this role, you will be defining detailed activity and resource plans to deliver project outcomes and delivering new Technical Services as part of a project team and managing third party services, delivery partners and external vendors to deliver solutions.

You will be responsible for development of the Infrastructure Strategy, IT Strategy, roadmaps and standards, engaging product vendors and maintaining IT and industry awareness as necessary.

Key Technical Services include Windows 10, Mac OS, InTune / Modern Management, Application Delivery, Citrix XenApp / Xen Desktop, SCCM / Configuration Manager, Office 365

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience working in a third line technical support role and recognised as SME for relevant Technical Services relating to the role. You will be experienced in designing and delivering a variety of Technical Services within a complex Enterprise environment with a demonstratable feedback driven approach to Service Design and Service Improvement.

You will have experience working within a large organisation with a globally disparate user base and relevant experience working with managed service providers and third parties.

You will also have a 'Technologist' mindset, a detailed understanding of vendor roadmaps, Kingfisher roadmaps, business / industry challenges and trends with an ability to translate these into a roadmap / strategy to develop services.
