A global asset management firm located in the city is looking for an Institutional Marketing Manger to support institutional and fund distribution business by executing and managing marketing and communication activities. The role’s focus is on supporting UK business and acting as the day-to day contact in marketing.

The ideal candidate will have good commercial acumen, enjoy being creatively challenged and have the ambition and drive to deliver business growth.

Key duties:

  • Guide, manage and oversee the execution of the marketing strategy, differentiating approaches to ensure they are appropriate to the different target markets and target client-bases
  • Develop and project-manage well-structured marketing plans for both existing products and new product launches using tools across the traditional marketing mix - advertising, events, webinars, public relations, publications, presentations, RFP text and multi-media
  • Draft, edit, proof-read, update and ensure compliance of content for marketing materials including sales flyers, brochures, micro-sites, conference materials, email campaigns, thought pieces, placed articles and other types of written marketing collateral
  • Acquire and build strong investment knowledge and product knowledge with the aim of improving the quality of the marketing materials’ content
  • Represent the Institutional Marketing team as appropriate in regular meetings with various departments and keeping Marketing Directors informed of other team’s requirements and activities
  • Help Marketing Directors and sales teams to prioritise appropriate products and services for specific markets and client sets
  • Ensure marketing initiatives and output are leveraged across geographies and teams wherever possible, putting in place frameworks to improve co-ordination where possible
  • Actively participate in the annual budgeting process and half-yearly budget reviews to help prioritise the marketing spend 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in the asset management sector; particularly Institutional investors
  • Project management experience
  • IMC pass or similar desirable
  • Strong understanding of the different marketing disciplines and their applications
  • Knowledge of wide range of asset classes including equity, fixed income, absolute return and alternatives strategies are distinct advantages
  • Degree calibre
