Twenty are recruiting on behalf of a leading Commodities Trading Firm who is looking for a Senior Middle Office Contractor to join their team. The successful individual will be acting as an interim head of middle office with the view to go permanent or extend after the initial 6 month contract.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct an audit of the middle office and product control processes
- Recommend areas for improvement within the function
- Ensure all reconciliations processes run smoothly and efficiently
- Make recommendations to traders and proactively work across multiple exchanges
- Ensure new products are set up correctly with the correct risk representation and PNL aspects
- Deliver all reports including PNL and margin reporting
- Ensure you build excellent working relationships with everyone in the business and work effectively with the FO, risk management and product control teams
Experience:
- Experience across a middle office and product control function essential
- At least 5+ years in commodities, ideally oil and related
- Clear understanding of pricing, PNL, risk associated with commodity derivatives
- Familiarity with swaps and cracks on ICE and Nymex preferable
- Good reconciliations experience
- Experience with designing and implementing new systems and process improvements desirable
