Edmond de Rothschild is looking to hire an Interim Management Accountant to join their team in London and start as soon as possible.

Core Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly reports for local business heads and senior management team with commentary and variance analysis for each entity and consolidated
  • Completion of monthly and quarterly reports to Group Parent with commentary and variance analysis for each entity and consolidated
  • Upload of accounting data into local and Group Parent databases with manipulation of data and control checks
  • Comprehensive intercompany reconciliations, analysis and resolution with London and Group entities using Group tools and close liaison with Group counterparts
  • Review and analysis of core accounting data provided by outsourced accountancy service provider, working closely with them to ensure accurate and timely data
  • Ad-hoc information requests and analyses
  • Support to Finance Director, local management and Group Finance
  • Monitoring monthly timetables and checklists
  • Assistance with year-end audits

Additional / Possible Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable overview
  • Cash and regulatory capital forecasting
  • P&L forecasting
  • Review of VAT returns
  • Review of FCA returns
  • Budget analysis
  • VAT and Corporation Tax analysis
  • Preparation of Finance sections for Board and Committee meetings
  • Preparation and maintenance of complete user manuals, process documentation and controls

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Extensive financial services (regulated entities) experience, with small / medium sized firm background
  • Extensive experience of management reporting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, accounting systems and databases
  • Self-starter and able to work on own, although still be part of a team
  • Able to support and challenge internally (senior management, peers, Group Finance) and externally (auditors, suppliers, HMRC, service providers)
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical ability with a good attention to detail
  • Energy, drive and enthusiasm but calm under pressure
