Human Resources & Organisational Development (HR&OD) has created a Target Operating Model (TOM) for how HR&OD, in partnership with key business decision makers, will support the mandate and strategy of the Bank, and the people working for it. One of the key objectives of the HR&OD TOM is to deliver improvements within overall HR&OD operating costs and improve client satisfaction by 'fixing the basics', and increasing the levels of self-service and process automation. A 5-year project roadmap articulates the changes to the people, processes and technology required to achieve this.

The HR Transformation Intern's role will be to assist with the delivery of a series of projects across the People Plan and to own the completion of certain discrete tasks/products within these projects. The intern will be required to work flexibly and innovatively to contribute to the successful delivery of these projects

The intern will be required to:
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the aims and objectives of the projects they're associated with in order to support completion of status reports, risk and issue logs and other project management artefacts
  • Assist with project delivery activities as required including designing and running workshops, writing up outputs, developing papers and products as required by and agreed with the project manager
  • Conduct discrete desktop research projects to identify industry leading methods, techniques and ways of working and agree

Essential
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Analytical way of thinking - can engage with data sets and complete some light interrogation to identify patterns and inconsistencies
  • Basic understanding of projects and transformation delivery principles
  • Can-do attitude with an aptitude to owning and delivering simple or more complex tasks and delivering them to a high quality standard
  • An innovative and lateral mind-set which always focuses on solutions as opposed to problems and isn't afraid to try something new
  • Can prioritise and move quickly between tasks and projects as required and depending on emerging deadlines
  • Previous experience of working in a project/transformation environment

Preferable

  • Degree educated in a humanities or business based subject
  • Experience of developing products using the Ms Office Suite
  • Digital literacy (i.e. can pick up a web-based business tool and become proficient quickly)
