International Tax Compliance, Reporting & Planning Manager, AVP
The International Tax Compliance, Reporting and Planning Manager, based in London, will be an integral member of State Street's Corporate Tax Department and will support State Street Corporation's global tax operations. The successful candidate will report to State Street's Tax Managing Director based in London who is responsible for State Street's Global Transfer Pricing Policy and international tax matters particularly in the UKMEA and Irish regions.
  • Tax Compliance
  • Responsible for UK and Irish tax compliance matters (e.g. review of tax returns prepared by KPMG)
  • Leading transformation initiatives to automate the preparation of State Street's corporate tax returns
  • Tax risk management, including managing tax audits
    Tax Accounting & Reporting
  • Review and/or preparation of tax provisions and reconciliations for material legal entities internationally
  • Quarterly review of US GAAP tax provisions
  • Provide tax accounting expertise and training to the accounting team
  • Review/preparation of tax forecasts
    Tax Projects & Consulting
  • Assisting with restructuring and M&A projects
  • Assisting with Global Transfer Pricing work (modelling, CbCr, transfer pricing documentations, transfer pricing audits etc)
  • Providing tax advice to the business on new products and businesses
  • International tax planning
  • Modelling & considering impact of legislative changes
  • Technical research
  • Assisting the tax team with ad-hoc projects and advisory matters as needed

Experience & Skills Required
  • Tax manager with a big 4 accounting firm with minimum 5 years post-qualified experience
  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Strong accounting, IT and transformation background
  • Chartered Tax Advisor qualification and financial services tax experience are beneficial but not necessary
