Top Infra Fund, a household name in European infra and renewables investment, seeks bright, ambitious Investment Analyst with 2-3 years’ experience and strong modelling skills


Our client is a leading European investor with £2bn under management across their three infrastructure and renewable energy platforms.  The continued growth of these funds has driven a requirement for additional resource in the team, to support them in the continued management, growth and performance of the funds.  One Search has been commissioned with identifying an exceptional candidate for the post.



Reporting to the Investment Managers, the successful candidate will assist them in evaluating prospective acquisitions, performance reporting and assisting with the raising of new capital.  Specific responsibilities will include the following:

  • Produce in-depth, insightful and focused research for senior management
  • Filter new investment opportunities by reviewing teaser documents/information memorandums
  • Input to and assist with drafting bid documents and investment committee papers
  • Manage vendor Q&A as part of transaction due diligence processes
  • Manage bid timetables and external advisers to meet such timetables
  • Manage bid budgets and adviser appointments
  • Assist with due diligence of potential acquisitions
  • Draft announcements in respect of successful acquisitions and other material events
  • Research and prepare presentations for vendors/analysts/investors
  • Portfolio analysis including the impact of new acquisitions on key metrics
  • Modelling of fund and project level sensitivities and refinancings
  • Maintain up-to-date research in respect of pipelines and political and economic factors affecting countries that are relevant to the funds
  • Assist with the production of the annual and interim accounts, quarterly update statements and reports to the Fund Boards
  • Capital raising: Provide input to prospectuses and other relevant documentation with suitable guidance



Competition for this role will be intense, and we invite applications only from those who properly satisfy the following criteria:

  • The candidate will likely have 2-3 years’ experience, ideally in an infrastructure-related role, possibly in an advisory/lending/sponsor capacity
  • A high level of commercial and financial skills
  • Financial modelling experience sufficient to understand, review, evaluate and manage project finance financial models and to build analysis spreadsheets and draw appropriate conclusions from their output
  • Commercial experience and an understanding of the risks and financial and commercial structures typical in infrastructure projects
