The role:


Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence on new public market investment opportunities by researching, reading financial statements and market data
  • Perform detailed financial modelling
  • Work with new/existing portfolio companies on strategic initiatives and help create/add value to our investments
  • Keep up-to-date with market developments, new technologies, disruption of traditional business models due to technology, understand public market valuations/drivers, etc.
  • Have a basic understanding of market risks and management, as well as some basic knowledge of equity derivatives. 
  • Manage end-to-end analytical projects by quickly understanding context and developing structured analysis to reach alignment and provide guidance to senior stakeholders.
  • International travel required up to 20% of the time 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years work experience in investment banking, event-driven funds, credit/distressed funds, value-orientated funds, or private equity at leading tier 1 firms
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, communication, leadership, valuation and problem solving skills
  • Experience assisting in identifying, structuring, and negotiating strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions
  • Driven, self-starter with a passion for excellence
  • Deep analytical, research and technical skills. Extensive experience in financial modelling
