The Firm

The firm is the infrastructure investment branch of a highly reputable global pension fund wanting to expand their London team in order to bolster their well-established position as one of the big players in the European infrastructure marketplace. The firm has a broad portfolio of investments currently in great excess of $10 billion. These cover transport, energy and utilities and include some of the most exciting projects happening in the world today. They are looking to grow with the addition of an Investment Associate bringing a strong background in investment banking, private equity or consulting.

The Role

The Associate will immediately become an important part of the deal making process, fully participating in almost every stage of the process. They will be assisting in the generation, preparation and execution of investment opportunities, building and streamlining financial models – working both as part of a team and independently. They will also be actively researching prospective investment ideas and identifying any important issues in the industry.

The Candidate

The candidate will have 2-5 years’ experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity or corporate M&A within infrastructure or a related sector such as energy, utilities or transport. They must have a proven track record of analytical, quantitative and financial modelling skills as well as the ability to advise on and make sound deal decisions with limited input from senior management.

A strong academic background is essential and candidates from top full-time MBA programs will be considered if they bring sufficient pre-MBA experience in a related sector.
