Team Profile

Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Banking group (MSREB) works with European public and private real estate companies, institutions and individuals on mergers and acquisitions, strategy advisory, and executions of public and private capital markets transactions. As an Associate on the European Investment Banking team, you will work with Officers and Senior Bankers on a variety of execution and business development assignments while interacting directly with senior-level financial and strategic decision-makers at some of the European largest corporations, as well as with smaller, private clients. Professionals on the European team are mainly located in London and Paris and work closely with the IBD group and Global Capital Markets colleagues in Europe. An ideal candidate would have prior real estate and financial industry / investment banking experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions.
• Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research.
• Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner.
• Acting as a mentor and role model to Analysts.


Qualifications:


Skills Required

• Top class undergraduate degree or equivalent from leading universities
• Relevant Investment Banking Analyst experience or equivalent required
• Real Estate experience/knowledge is essential
• Fluency in English and ideally other languages (German, Spanish, French)
• Must have strong analytical and modelling skills – these are critical to success as an Associate
• Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyse and value businesses
• A positive, highly motivated individual who exhibits strong leadership and management qualities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
• Strong work ethic
• Committed to delivery of highest quality work product; strong attention to detail
• Proactive; self-motivated and goal oriented
• Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment
