Our client seeks an experienced investment professional to work within a small, dynamic team in Central London. The successful candidate will have proven Director-level qualifications and be a self-starter, have excellent quantitative, modelling, communication and organisational skills, and be presentable and able to effectively liaise with market intermediaries, institutional investors, management teams and sponsors. This senior executive will be responsible for building on the Firm’s existing capabilities, including general market research, deal sourcing and execution, and portfolio management. Reporting to the Managing Partners, the successful candidate will have strong technical capabilities, knowledge and must possess the ability to grow the firm's investing capabilities and capacity in a proactive and comprehensive manner. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an understanding of and an ability to adhere to the company's stated principles of responsible investing.
• Self-motivated, analytical and enthusiastic team player with the ability to work on multiple tasks within tight deadlines
• Strong desire and ability to manage all stages of the investment process and to craft creative, workable solutions for various types of opportunities
• A minimum of ten years’ experience in a transaction-orientated capacity
• Demonstrable experience living and/or working in multicultural environments, including language skills
o Originate relevant secondary investment opportunities, with a particular focus on direct and structured transactions
o Lead due diligence processes, working in conjunction with the investment team
o Monitor investments in our portfolios, including holding board and or observer board seats when appropriate
o Take responsibility for the exit process
• Marketing / Investor Relations:
o Represent the firm at conferences and other industry events
o Contribute to the production of quarterly and annual reports to investors, and other investor related material
o Proactively manage the Firm’s analysis and research of various geographies and sectors, together with other members of the investment team
o Participate in the production of the firm’s regular research reports
Candidates should have at least ten years’ relevant experience in the financial services sector, ideally in a Private Equity, corporate finance or M&A environment. MBA qualifications are not essential but highly desirable. Fluency in at least one European language other than English is a must.
