Exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, entrepreneurial investment manager as their Investment Director, Healthcare UK in London. Focused on operational real estate investment (equity & debt) in the UK healthcare sector.

Our client offers UK-based business growth and development capital with the capability to invest across both debt and equity capital with a high degree of flexibility. Typical investments are between £5 million - £25 million per funding round.

The Investment Director will focus on operational real estate investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, including social care, primary care, retirement and supported living. An understanding of wider healthcare services and solutions would be beneficial but is not essential. The candidate will work closely with other members of their unquoted investment team.

The role will be broad and will require the Investment Director to build relationships with intermediaries, identify and evaluate potential transactions, execute investments and manage investee companies through to eventual exit.

The successful candidate will have a combination of technical skills and commercial acumen as well as enthusiasm to learn and develop by working within a team:

  • Prior experience in an investment firm (ideal), corporate finance advisory or consultancy with a focus on the UK healthcare market.
  • You will be a university graduate with a strong academic background, preferably with a professional qualification e.g. ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent.
  • Evidence of existing contacts and relationships across the Healthcare market.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience of the investment process and multi-lateral negotiations.
  • A strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and high levels of emotional intelligence.
  • Able to work under pressure and towards deadlines with a self-starting attitude.
  • Able to demonstrate robust analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Proficient at multi-tasking across a variety of projects.
  • Collegiate and proactive personality.
  • Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal).
