Investment Trust Fund Accountant, In-House Role

Our client is a specialist investment manager based in central London. Hugely successful with over £10bn AUM. A new role has been created for a fully qualified accountant with prior Investment Trust experience.

The Role:

  • Be the ‘first call’ for director queries in relation to accounting and statutory audit matters
  • Overseeing accounting / book keeping services provided by the external administrator
  • Reviewing monthly management accounts (providing commentary if appropriate)
  • Preparation in conjunction with Company Secretarial Team of statutory annual and half year accounts
  • Presentation of statutory accounts to Audit Committees of the investment trusts
  • Liaison with Auditors on accounting issues and policies
  • Reporting on accounting developments and the AIC SORP
  • Ensuring performance fees are calculated and accounted for correctly
  • Receiving Audit/Board questions and responding accordingly
  • Meeting with and maintaining client relationship with Audit Chairman


  • You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Prior experience accounting for Investment Trusts or other close-ended funds
  • Experience can also be gained from a third party administrator or from an external auditor
  • Gravitas to present to the investment trust Boards with confidence
