Opportunity to join Liberum's investment funds team, with established experts across investment banking, research and sales. Team is dedicated in the alternative fund space where activity levels in listings and fundraisings is high. Candidate will have an existing track record in the sales function with buy-side firms, ideally in investment fund sales or alternatives.

Purpose of the Role:

To meet and exceed clients requirements in regard to investment activities.

Reporting to: 

Head of Fund Sales

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and build relationships with assigned and focus accounts, both corporate and institutional
  2. Work closely with clients’ investment personnel to develop in-depth knowledge of client requirements and co-ordinate Liberum Capital’s efforts to service the client
  3. Present equity research services and advise clients on investment opportunities
  4. Gain orders for the purchase of and sale of equities and pass to the sales trading desk
  5. Meet with clients to assess their investment requirements with regard to for example, capital growth income, level of risk
  6. Present Corporate clients to institutions on roadshows, including equity raises
  7. Monitor clients’ portfolios of investments and advise on appropriate investment opportunities.

Employment Terms:

  • Permanent contract after 3 months probationary period

Skills, Attributes and Credentials:

Essential

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience
  • Existing relationships with buy-side firms
  • Knowledge of listed funds, including Alternatives
  • Understanding of listed fund buy-side institutions and wealth managers
  • Excellent understanding of different investment sectors within equities
  • Highly numerate, detail oriented and analyse financial information with speed
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Bloomberg and other information sources
  • Confident with highly developed communication skills; persuasive and good listener
  • Able to prioritise key tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Proven track record as effective team member
  • Highly discrete with good judgement
  • High energy levels and stamina
  • Excellent attendance record
