Java Developer (Front Office - FX) required by a large Tier 1 Investment Bank, based in London.

Java Developer (Front Office) required by a large Tier 1 Investment Bank, based in London to work within the Front Office IT area, specifically within the Structured Products team to design the optimum Straight Through Processing and control processes for all products, and to deliver solutions as well as support their legacy systems. Team members in London are expected to be business facing and work across a range of technical disciplines.

You will need to have strong server side, Java experience in a trading environment and experience of FX/FWD business, also high-performance/low latency development.

• Experienced Java developer on multiple projects
• Multi-threading, concurrency
• Experience of FX and high-performance/low latency technology and architecture
• Expert practitioner of test-driven development, agile methodologies and associated tools/technologies
• Highly motivated to work with traders
• Proven ability to deliver front office systems
• Works well in a Front-Office or similar delivery-oriented environment and delivery in a changing fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills and good interpersonal relationship skills and strong team player.
• Strong understanding and preference for Agile delivery processes, and experience within high performing agile development teams.
• Computer Science/equivalent degree
