You will play a key role within the Regulatory Reporting group, and you will be responsible for delivering solutions to meet regulatory transaction reporting obligations.

You will play a key role within the Regulatory Reporting group, and you will be responsible for delivering solutions to meet regulatory transaction reporting obligations such as Market in Financial Instruments Directive II, Securities and Exchange Commission and Dodd Frank.

You will design and develop application code, integrate with testing components, implement technical solutions and configure applications in different environments in response to business problems.

To meet the requirements of the business, you will actively participate in the design and architecture of the application or its components, investigates and propose appropriate technologies to be used, promote re-usability of existing components and contribute to the creation of frameworks.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop source code, including descriptions, for all Software Components in accordance with Software Requirements specification, the functional design and the technical design document
  • Contribute to quality assurance by writing unit, integration and functional tests
  • Design components of the application; interacting with Analysts and Programme teams as appropriate
  • Contribute to problem and root cause analysis
  • Support creation of Software Product Training Materials, Software Product User Guides, and Software Product Deployment Instructions

Your skills and experience

  • Programming experience in Java and experience developing middle-tier applications
  • experience of developing in PL/SQL
  • Understanding of how to develop unit testable code using testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber
  • Experience in Information Technology change projects and a project/ programme environment
  • Understanding and experience of Test-Driven Development and design patterns
