We are looking for an IT focused individual willing to step into a dynamic working environment. The successful candidate will be an individual with a related degree (BSc. ITC or similar) and a year or two of commercial development experience. As part of this role the successful candidate will also be required to help with desktop support and must have experience in supporting Windows 10 and Office applications. The position forms part of Arete's IT team supporting its activities with a focus on the development of proprietary applications in .NET/C#, SQL Server backend and HTML, CSS & JavaScript front end.

Essential Developer Skills

  • Practical work experience with Software Development Lifecycle including the technologies listed below
  • C#, ASP.Net MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL
  • Experience developing .NET Framework 4.0 or greater using the C# programming language
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, WebForms, or .NET Core
  • Client-side programming/scripting technologies (HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JQuery and JavaScript)
  • Experience with any of the following is preferred but not required: Knockout, Angular, JQuery, Vue, or React

Working knowledge of

  • Windows 10
  • Windows Server 2012/2016
  • Administration from a command line – CMD and/or Powershell
  • Microsoft Office packages
  • Email & web browser troubleshooting
  • PC hardware set up and configuration
  • DHCP, DNS and TCP/IP addressing and computer networks
