London The Team:
The team assigns corporate credit ratings to companies in the Consumer Products and Healthcare sectors. Successful candidate will be expected to ensure continuity of analytical coverage for blue chip issuers listed in London, as well provide senior analytical support to all aspects of rating communication with London-based private equity sponsors and institutional investors. The team rates more than 170 corporate issuers, with about 15-20 new issuers receiving a rating in each year of the past three. Leveraged finance accounts for about 80% of new rating activity at present. The Impact:
An individual in this role will be in charge of a Branded Consumer Products POD, as well as a small portfolio of up to 5 rated Tier 1 names in the UK and Switzerland. A successful candidate should have a solid track record in handling all aspects of analysis and external communications for large multinational issuers, including Environmental and Social Sustainability, which is a critical component of credit rating analysis in the sector. Leveraged finance focus will be equally important, including analysis of leveraged capital structures and documentation. Above all, the successful candidate should be able to show ability to coach and elevate people, in the context of the large size and diversity of the team, as well high volumes of capital markets transactions and associated market and issuer interactions. A Lead Analyst in the S&P Global Corporate Rating business is a critical client-facing analytical role, bearing full responsibility for the rating analysis and its communication across a portfolio of up to 50 rated companies (POD). A Lead Analyst is the primary day-to-day contact point for analysts in the POD, and is expected to contribute meaningfully to the professional growth and development of analysts in the team. Working environment puts emphasis on teamwork and analytical collaboration, as well as detailed documentation of all aspects of analysis and publication of ratings. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, because Lead Analysts play an influential role in internal and external discussions. Responsibilities:
The role is based on taking responsibility over surveillance and new ratings in the POD, leading and coordinating contributions by primary analysts, and forming high level analytical opinions on sector trends. Consequently, a strongly-motivated applicant should have a well-developed interest in the following:

(3) Supervising other analysts over the entirety of the rating process and external communications.
