Data Management (DM) 


The Data Management group comprises 3 teams, Client & Portfolio, Securities and Pricing. The group is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of data to facilitate the Investment and client reporting processes. Services are provided directly to internal clients across Investment, Distribution and Infrastructure divisions within the firm.


Key Responsibilities
  • SME in C&P processes and procedures
  • Ability to build interaction with and profile of C&P with key internal clients
  • Provide first line SME support for Operational layer being delivered by offshore UST team members
  • Monitoring of day to day service levels provided by UST
  • Technical support for the BAU operations of the function, including maintenance of Excel forms and templates owned by the C&P team
  • Defining, constructing and executing control and exception reports, and the provision of regular metrics around such exceptions
  • Sharing knowledge and best practice with the global team
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, and collaborating with Change Lead to realise these opportunities.
  • Represent C&P, Data Management and Schroders in both internal meetings, and external forums as required by the role
  • Engagement with and support for strategic projects

Person Profile:
  • Degree or equivalent, or substantial previous Client & Portfolio data experience
  • Has achieved IOC, Claritas or IMC qualification
  • Deep and broad understanding of C&P data
  • Strong analytical, numerical and technical skills, in particular Excel/VBA
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritise and willing to work flexible hours when necessary 
  • Focus on quality and delivery, with a practical and pragmatic approach
  • Very good communication skills- written, presentational and verbal 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build cross-functional relationships between C&P and Investment, Distribution and Operations.
  • Able to work on own initiative and under pressure –  a self starter  
  • Motivated to contribute proactively and embrace and support the change agenda
  • Able to represent the department in meetings and projects
  • Must have excellent attention to detail

  • Enthusiasm and Commitment
