Legal Entity Controller

We are currently looking to recruit a Legal Entity Controller to work for a top Investment Manager in the City. This is an excellent opportunity for someone taking a step up into a management position or looking for an opportunity to grow their management experience within a complex fund structure.

Legal Entity Controller Responsibilities;

  • Manage complex accounting issues.
  • Work with the Technical Accounting Group where necessary to ensure compliance with relevant IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Present the monthly legal entity variance review to senior management.
  • Manage and educate the various accounting support teams on the fund and legal entity structures, related accounting processes and new business developments
  • Working with the business to provide oversight of the governance process for seed capital investments
  • Work with the Finance Regulatory SMEs to provide oversight of regulatory reporting.
  • Manage the Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") audit process of key financial controls, ensuring documentation is maintained and regularly updated and acting as the key contact point for the internal SOX Internal Control team

Legal Entity Controller Experience;

  • Qualified accountant with a number of years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge on IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Significant experience in Financial Services industry, in particular Investment Management
  • Good knowledge on CASS
  • Significant Statutory and Regulatory reporting experience
