Department Profile

The Lending Strategists are focused on supporting the Deleveraging and Lending Group (DLG) by delivering high value business related analysis and associated technology. The group also has a dual role in assisting the Fixed Income Division to manage the impact of the new regulatory capital environment.

We are looking for a strategist to work on the lending desk and become part of our global team.

Primary Responsibilities

This role will involve data modelling, collateral analysis and structuring of deleveraging and lending transactions for both CRE and the warehouse businesses. The candidate will interact with originators, risk managers, lawyers and other strats during the development of a global lending platform.



Qualifications:


Skills required (essential)

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Maths, Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
  • Demonstrated previous experience/expertise and good understanding of fixed income mathematics.
  • Familiarity with fixed income products and concepts, including:
    - Loans, Bonds & Swaps
    - CLOs, CMBS & ABS
    - Structuring and cash flow modelling
    - Credit rating methodologies
  • Mathematical modelling and data analysis skills.
  • Strong programming skills in KDB+/Q , Python, Scala, Java; with HTML/Javascript a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
