A pioneering Investment Bank based in central London requires machine Learning Engineer to build out a range of intelligent systems to aid with the risk and pricing analysis of Fixed Income products. The team trades in complex structured products meaning that bespoke analysis is required with the preparation of each trade. Consequently, your role will be to build out a system that automates a lot of this manual work in order to increase the accuracy of the underlying risk, current and future pricing analysis. In addition to the risk and pricing focus, you will also be responsible for building out a number of sentiment analysis tools in order to help forecast future returns on investment, leveraging all of the information that is readily available on the web.
You will join a small team of technologists, who are very much an integral part of the trading team. It will be your responsibility to build relationships with the Quants, Strats, Traders and Analysts in order to work pro-actively to optimise the entire trade work flow. This will involve working in an agile environment in an analyst developer capacity where you will be working on machine learning projects alongside building out the UI's and working across related core software development projects.
Python development experience is preferred - alternatively any OO languages would be applicable such as Java, C# or C++
Knowledge of Hadoop, Apache Spark or other Data Analytics Engines
Good knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and ideally statistical packages such as but not limited to NumPy/SciPy
The ability to translate large volumes of data into tangible business recommendations
No prior financial services experience is required
Location: Central London
Salary: between £45,000 to £100,000 depending on experience (and prior financial exposure)
Bens: excellent bonus potential, pension, health care, gym etc
