The Group FP&A team forms part of the wider Group Finance function comprising of 16 accountants. The Group FP&A team is responsible for all monthly actual, forecast and budget reporting to the Senior Executives, producing and collating the Board Report, liaising closely with Investor Relations and is also very involved with ad hoc strategic projects.

This is a key role within the team and will be responsible for production of all the monthly reporting requirements. This will involve liaising closely with all the Divisional Finance teams to gain a detailed understanding of the Bank. There will also be scope to be involved with the Statutory reporting cycle and ad hoc strategic projects.

Description of role and key responsibilities:

  • Collation and submission of PLC & IBP Board Reports
  • Production of CEO report for PLC & IBP Board Reports
  • Monthly Exec Dashboard reporting
  • Collation and submission of daily IBP flash
  • Actively manage month end close process
  • Assist in the monthly forecast process
  • Participate in wider group initiatives including 3 Year Planning process
  • Assist in the yearly budget process
  • Be involved in the half year end and annual reporting cycle;

Core Skills, attributes and Knowledge

  • Management accounting experience (essential)
  • Previous experience in Financial Services (advantageous)
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel (essential)
  • Knowledge of JDE/Essbase/Hyperion highly desirable
  • Strong relationship management skills, able to influence and build rapport
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Systematic approach in analysing and solving problems with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, managing conflicting priorities
  • Pro-active with a strong work ethic
