My client is a rapidly expanding Financial Services firm based in the City, recruiting for an Associate (FP&A/Financial Analyst) to drive the development of their Management Reporting function. This is an entrepreneurial environment where you will have exposure to Partners in the business, and freedom to develop processes.

The role will have direct exposure to all seniority levels internally and will involve interaction with key internal stakeholders and members across Europe. In addition, you will also play a key role in supporting the strategic development of the UK team from the financial side, assisting with improving control and automation of current financial processes to increase efficiency.


  • Involvement in corporate development discussions; assisting with scenario analysis to facilitate corporate business decisions
  • Preparing monthly management financial analytics, expense reporting and headcount reporting
  • Preparing of weekly leadership and/or senior management team meeting packs
  • Suggesting & implementing changes to our management reporting
  • Development of improved controls within existing workflows and working files
  • Preparing quarterly financial filings to the FCA
  • Assistance with regular ad-hoc requests from senior management
  • Assisting in review of staff expense claims in line with the Expense Policy



  • Experience in a management reporting/fp&a/financial analysis role
  • Proven history of process improvement
  • Postgraduate finance qualification (CIMA, ACA) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but open to candidates with alternative experiences

Role requirements / Key Competencies:

  • Strong interest in banking and financial services
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in the use of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but training will be provided
  • Excellent problem solving and data-handling skills demonstrating analytic rigour and attention to detail
