Here at Lloyds Banking Group we're recruiting a Mangager, Liquidity Risk role.

In this rare and impactful role, you'll be joining the Liquidity Risk team to over-see and challenge LBG's liquidity policies and practices, and reassure senior management that our plans are resilient, credible and plausible.

We're a small team, so your remit and development opportunities will be broad. You'll be building networks across the wider Risk team and forging key collaborative relationships with Group Corporate Treasury colleagues. What you'll be doing

You'll provide insightful, high quality analysis, advice and guidance in all aspects of Liquidity Risk, executing control and tailored to senior partner needs.

You may also lead a virtual team of risk specialists, support the development of our team's Industrial Placement student and deputise for more senior colleagues.

Other responsibilities include:

  • To review liquidity risk management and measurement processes and policies within the 1st line and provide pro-active and constructive challenge to ensure that the bank operates to agreed standards as laid out in the Liquidity Risk Principle and Risk Management Framework.
  • To ensure compliance with the bank's standards and reporting requirements together with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, where appropriate implementing actions to protect the bank's business at all times.
  • Establishing effective relationships and collaborating with the business and their teams; ensure a sound understanding of business strategy and associated risks, providing an independent view and value-adding contribution to improve active risk management and be a trusted business partner.

What skills and experience can you bring to the role?


  • A higher qualification in a quantitative subject area such as Applied Mathematics, Finance etc. or equivalent professional qualifications
  • A strong, practitioner level, working knowledge of liquidity and funding risk measurement and management gained in the workplace - relevant topics include CRDIV; LCR; NSFR; PRA110; liquidity stress testing; ILAAP.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - in particular, an ability to communicate complex technical ideas to a diverse audience and influence senior partners
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of preparation and analysis of data for governance committees


  • Prior experience of managing regulatory relationships and issues
  • Leadership; both line management and virtual teams
