Department overview:

The role is based within the Business Relationship Management ("BRM") group in London, which leads the marketing and business development efforts for Fitch Rating's Structured Finance rating franchise.


Reporting to the Head of the EMEA Structured Finance BRM Group in London, this motivated and detail orientated individual will support marketing outreach activities, budget and reporting undertaken by the team in developing Fitch's Structured Finance team in EMEA. This role is a maternity cover.



The candidate will be responsible for supporting the marketing efforts of team members in the Structured Finance BRM team. The principal objective of the team is to generate new Structured Finance rating mandates through targeted marketing.


Key responsibilities of the role include:


Financial Reporting and Budget Analysis

Work with a senior member of the team in the group to manage the European Structured Finance pipeline and budget on a monthly basis.


Business planning, reporting and budgeting

In conjunction with the accounts team and a senior member in the EMEA SF BRM group, produce monthly and annual management information and reporting for the EMEA region (knowledge of accounts or financial reporting would be advantageous). Manage the EMEA SF pipeline on a daily basis.


Market Research and Analysis

Contribute to the analysis of securitisation market data using systems (i.e. Bloomberg, Concept ABS, etc) which monitor market activity, identification of trends relevant to Fitch Rating's commercial efforts in support of BRM's wider marketing strategy. This process includes research and maintaining the market share data entry process on a monthly and weekly basis. Attention to detail is imperative as market analysis key in strategic planning with senior level management.


Support the London Structured Finance BRM Team

Assist in ad hoc requests from the London SF BRM team including: preparing engagement letters through the Contract Lifecycle Management system; organizing meetings; monthly reporting; and assistance in preparation for Structured Finance events.


Preparation of marketing materials

Preparation of pitch books and development of other marketing materials as required in support SF BRM team marketing efforts.


Qualifications and experience:


  • Demonstrable knowledge of preparing marketing materials using Microsoft Word and Powerpoint in a sales team environment
  • Strong/Advanced Excel skills with demonstrable knowledge of data research and analysis, showing excellent attention to detail (An attention to Detail test will be given)
  • Exposure to debt capital markets and/or corporate finance and/or data analytics gained through having worked in related roles and environments would be advantageous
  • Knowledge or aptitude to work with market data systems such as Bloomberg, LCD etc. advantageous
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, specifically Salesforce would be highly useful
  • Budgeting and accounts experience is advantageous.

  • Self-starter with strong delivery ethos and first class organisational skills
  • Strong time management ethos
  • Ability to work independently to deadlines within a strategic framework, with supervision and guidance from senior team members
