Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) is seeking a seasoned, high performing Marketing Communications Manager to plan, manage and execute SVB UK’s ambitious communications programme. 

This is a broad, senior, marketing communication role which involves developing and delivering client communications on a variety of topics, across the client lifecycle, including open market brand and lead generation campaigns, as well as a full range of in-life communications. These could include communications related to operational and regulatory content, client on-boarding and welcome journeys, product launches and change initiatives, up-sell and cross-sell campaigns etc.  The role also involves the development and delivery of content and collateral to inform and enable our client facing teams to support deeper penetration of our solutions to existing clients.  This role does involve managing a small team of experienced marketing and professionals.   

In this role, the Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for: 

  • Managing a team of marketing professionals who are focused on the tactical execution of an ambitious marketing plan. 

  • Planning, creating and executing marketing communications and associated campaigns to drive awareness, understanding and action of target audiences including brand awareness, lead generation and up-sell/cross-sell campaigns.   

  • Driving internal and external awareness/understanding of changes to existing and/or critical information on new products and services through close engagement with the Change Management and Product functions and relevant stakeholders such as US Marketing, when required.  

  • Coordinating and delivering communications around legal, regulatory and product updates as required.  

  • Marketing process improvements by implementing methods, procedures and platforms to increase efficiency and scale.  

  • Monitoring the effectiveness of all communications and track, report and measure against key metrics to evaluate and identify opportunities for future improvement.  

  • Influencing the tactical and strategic and transformational direction of the EMEA marketing function.  

  • Extensive marketing experience including experience in marketing communications roles.  

  • Expertise in planning, developing and delivering excellent client communications programmes. 

  • Willingness to deliver operational and change communications as well as marketing campaigns. 

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, execution-oriented, ‘scale-up’ environment. 

  • Excellent project management and organisation skills to effectively multiple, concurrent, initiatives. 

  • Ability to work across a wide set of stakeholders to both understand and influence. 

  • Strong work ethic with passion for delivery and ability to ‘get things done’. 

  • Driven, hardworking, flexible, resilient and collaborative team player. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to develop and foster excellent working relationships.  

  • Good knowledge of banking propositions with an ability to translate into client-centric language.  

  • Experience in delivering digital communications through web, marketing automation, etc.
