Role overview

The Global Marketing team is responsible for all aspects of marketing to the retail, intermediary, institutional, Insurance Asset Management and Financial Clients Group channels. Marketing includes event organisation, production of literature, RFPs, PR & presentations and advertising.

Positioned within global marketing, Client Data Services is responsible for sourcing and distributing data to clients, investment consultants, prospective clients and third parties for products and other data needed from across Schroders.

To achieve this, the individual will be required to produce first class, timely, professional output that will continue to build Schroders' profile, whilst liaising effectively with Sales and Product professionals and other stakeholders in the new business process across Schroders.

The job holder has responsibility to pay due regard to the interests of our customers and treat them fairly, ensuring that the information provided to clients on products and services is clear and useful and enables them to understand fully what they are being offered. They are required to familiarise themselves fully with the team's current procedures, FCA compliance requirements, and the principles behind 'Treating Customers Fairly' and 'Conduct Risk'.

The Client Data Services team liaises with over 20 different product desks and various other departments to assemble necessary information according to ad hoc, bespoke and frequent requests.

The Client Data Services team is responsible for the management, update, provision and quality control of the following types of quantitative information:

• Portfolio holdings
• Portfolio characteristics (asset allocations and other exposures)
• Portfolio performance
• Portfolio assets under management (AUMs)
• Distributor static data updates
• Bespoke monthly/quarterly client reporting, including research platforms

The role will also provide dedicated administrative support to the marketing teams. To provide secretarial and basic marketing support to the Global, European and UK marketing teams and PR. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with secretarial experience also looking to move into a client support role within a busy global marketing team.

Responsibilities for this role:

Client Data:

• Completing tasks by required deadlines
• Maintaining product data across global consultant databases.
• Undertake data checks for other team members
• Producing competitor analysis on products
• Ensuring a responsive approach to the provision of data and wherever possible a proactive approach to data collation
• Automating data provision where achievable
• Reducing duplication of task and effort across multiple business areas
• Maintaining the workflow management tool
• Identifying areas of efficiency that can be achieved in collaboration with Distribution - IT
• Recording and filing all workload in accordance with FCA requirements and the process manual

Administrative support:

• Assist with planning and preparation for events
• Source suppliers for unique and innovative client giveaways
• Assist with management of marketing budget
• Diary and account management for Schroders' media room
• Organisation of internal meetings including room booking, catering etc
• Diary management, including organisation of all travel arrangements and itineraries
• Literature printing and storage
• Completing expense claims and settling invoices
• Assist with the production of marketing emails in the Eloqua email programme
• Assisting other secretaries, as required.

• Strong numeracy and literacy
• Professional manner and hard working
• Excellent attention to detail, with sound grammatical understanding
• Efficient and well-organised
• Ability to take on a variety of tasks
• Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficient in online systems as you will be working with a 100% paperless online process
• Secretarial experience
• Ability to use initiative, prioritise and work to tight deadlines
• Confident telephone manner

Desirable skills:

• Previous experience in a similar data role will be beneficial;
• Familiarity with RFP and consultant databases is beneficial;
• IMC (or equivalent) (or at least the ambition to do so)
