Performance Objectives:

  • Keep pace with a steep learning curve to take ownership of Middle Office processes and investigations
  • Monitor and reconcile trade activity, open positions and PNL on a daily basis
  • Liaise both internally with key personnel from front office, finance, technology and compliance, and externally with prime brokers and exchanges to optimise operational efficiency and ensure complete accuracy across all trading and back office systems
  • Build, enhance and automate Middle Office tools to monitor and mitigate trading and operational risks
  • Ensure the setup of new products in all front and back office systems is in line with department standards, in particular checking that risk representation and PNL methodologies are correct
  • Use your inquisitive nature, excellent analytical skills and logical thinking for ad hoc query resolutions and project work

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in either Finance or Middle Office
  • Exceptional academics to degree level in a relevant subject
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Confident and robust attitude towards stakeholder management
  • Proactive, self-starting and seeks out responsibility
