The Operations Division is the engine room that powers Goldman Sachs, and Operations Technology is driving their industrialization through automation, digitisation and orchestration.


- Design and implement controls on the new trade reporting platform supporting all global regulatory initiatives. The controls you will build are crucial to validating correctness of trade reporting to external regulators.
- Provide technical and functional leadership to a cross-functional engineering team.
- Deal with big data - millions of rows a day.
- Build relationships with users and facilitate requirements gathering and negotiating project scope.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of financial instruments across multiple asset classes ranging from high volume FX trades to complex Commodities, Credit, Equities and Interest Rate derivatives.
- Design and implement controls on the new trade reporting platform supporting all global regulatory initiatives. The controls you will build are crucial to validating correctness of trade reporting to external regulators.


- Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, above or equivalent in Technology, Engineering or a related discipline required
- Prior investment banking/financial services industry/digital industry experience required
- Experience of working on general reporting, regulatory reporting and transaction reporting systems
- Must have experience of full software development lifecycle
- Advanced programming skills in Java required
- Experience in leading development teams with multiple global stakeholders required
- Experience of testing with knowledge of Junit etc. required.
- Familiarity with Windows, Unix/Linux OS required
- Experience with SQL/MySQL and relational data bases
- Focus on software quality - ability to write clean code and encourage others to do so
- Must have experience in business analysis, requirement gathering
- Familiarity with Kafka, Python, REST, Spring, micro-services required
- Experience with big data concepts - Hadoop and Spark required
- Experience in BPMN and user workflow based systems
- Openness for acquiring new skills and learning new technologies
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, mind-set of ownership and excellent follow-through
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
