Arya Partners is a multi-manager long/short equity focused fund comprised of independently managed strategies across various industry sectors and geographies. Strategies are dynamically managed for risk and are designed to be uncorrelated to each other. The portfolio seeks to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns with low volatility and low correlation to traditional asset classes through all market conditions. Arya Partners launched in November 2016 and currently has 30 Portfolio Managers.

Arya Partners is seeking an Operations professional located in London who will primarily support the Portfolio Managers based in London.  There are currently six Portfolio Manager teams based in London.  The individual will work closely with the Arya Ops team in NY & Asia, AB traders, AB Operational staff, AB technology developers, Prime Brokers, and State Street (Fund Administrator).

Job Description

The primary responsibilities for the Arya Operations role include the daily oversight of performance returns for each Portfolio Manager, monitor & reconcile Portfolio Manager trades to the Fund Administrator, proactively source locates, address pre-and post-trade compliance, corporate actions oversight, currency hedging implementation and equity swap matching with counterparties.  The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the due diligence of Arya Portfolio Manager investments from purchase to settlement.   The individual will also address Portfolio Manager queries related to performance, trade implementation, secondary offerings, IPO’s, and market access.   In addition, the candidate will be responsible for oversight of a UCIT fund including compliance, cash management and rebalance trades. 

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in a quantitative field such as Finance, Accounting or Economics) and a minimum of 5 years of Multi-Manager Hedge Fund operations experience. The candidate must possess strong communication, quantitative, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize in a deadline driven environment is essential.   A successful candidate will bring a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and assume additional responsibilities and challenges.

  • Strong hedge fund knowledge with a deep understanding of derivatives from valuation to trading.
  • Experience working closely with Traders and Prime Brokers.
