In this role you will be part of a small team working alongside Sales and Relationship Management. The successful candidate will be using their technical skills to manage large sets of data, across FX, rates, credit and commodities to help global clients manage complex market and credit risk exposures utilising our proprietary tools and algorithms. Principal Accountabilities: Delivering triReduce and triBalance cycles: Start of cycle.
Prior to the opening of a cycle, internal discussions will be held involving Service Management, Sales, Business Management and in some cases also Business Development in order to identify any product or client issues relevant to the specific cycle, as well as general client talking points for the cycle. Meetings or calls may be held with clients, as required. The Client Manager will communicate the forthcoming schedule and cycle-specific details and talking points to clients and invite sign-ups. Data extract and submission.
Clients provide their trade data to us by uploading a text file/spreadsheet to our secure website. Whilst the website is sophisticated, clients typically require support with file handling, data formats, fields, translations, and the associated error messages and warnings. This support is the Client Manager's responsibility. Verification of submitted MtM valuations and risk.
To protect the integrity of the service, clients submitted valuations and risk per trade needs to be verified for consistency by the Client managers running the cycle. In house tools are used to build curves and verify MtM and risk. Client managers are required to value individual trades and spot any discrepencies. Working with tolerances.
Participating in a cycle may involve small and controlled changes in clients' market and credit risk positions. Prior to actual execution, clients set a number of tolerance limits on these changes. Discussion and explanation in order to provide the optimum balance between exposure and efficiency resulting from these settings a key aspect of the role. This discussion is the Client manager's responsibility. Generating Unwind Proposals or Optimisation Proposals.
Client Managers are responsible for generating Proposals for clients by running different Compression and Optimisation algorithms. This is a complex process and requires Client managers to fully understand how derivatives function and are valued. Overall cycle management.
The client manager is responsible for optimising the value that participants get from the cycle. The multilateral nature of cycles means they involve significant numbers of parties working to a strict common timeline. The clients are also typically global organisations with multiple contact points across functions and time zones, requiring careful co-ordination within individual clients as well as among them. In certain circumstances, the Client Manager is responsible for escalating internally that an exceptional situation has arisen. Responsibilities outside of any particular triReduce or triBalance cycles include: For each new client taken on, TriOptima runs a small project.
These projects, consisting of client meetings and telephone calls, ensure that the client can deliver data to TriOptima in an agreed format and that they can receive and process the data they get back from TriOptima. Findings will be documented internally. The Client Manager will lead these start-up projects on behalf of TriOptima and will be the main resource working in these projects Extensive testing of new features and functionality on all platforms.
Client managers work closely with the Web Development team to ensure the platforms are efficiently developed. Client managers also reports bugs on the platforms and help translate client requests for the Product management team. Run cycle simulations for clients.
As new services and features are launched, Client managers deliver a large number of simulations for clients. The simulations help educate clients and onboard them to new services and processes. Provide the Sales and Relationship management team with technical Sales support.
Join Sales meetings and provide technical input and demo the triReduce and triBalance platforms. Key Skills:
In this position the following key skills are of particular importance: Essential
- IT skills including the ability to work fluently with raw client data using editors and spreadsheet tools.
- Knowledge of OTC derivatives or Options in some of the following asset classes Rates, FX, Credit, Equity or Commodities.
- The ability to represent TriOptima professionally to its clients and gain their confidence and trust. The ability to understand our message at all times and convey it accurately and appropriately to our clients.
- Upper degree background
- Basic knowledge of MySQL databases useful and basic Python programming.
- Understanding of trade data fields of these instruments as well as awareness of the OTC derivative trade processing lifecycle. Understanding of basic market and credit risk management of OTC derivatives, such as yield curves and valuation. Good understanding of Valuation and Risk.
- Having worked in the Financial Services/FinTech industry, but not essential
- Degree field: Engineering or Mathematics. Masters also preferred.
