~~Department  Profile:
 The Insight Investment Middle Office has several sub-departments; Investment Operations, Quant Operations, Mandate Control, Performance and Projects. The Investment Operations team is responsible for Market Operations, Derivative Operations, Investment Guideline Management and Performance Monitoring. This role is within the Performance team.

Purpose of role: • To provide ‘value-added’ performance & risk solutions to complement and enhance the existing services of the team and the standard services supplied by our outsourced performance provider.
• To work within a team of performance measurement professionals with an emphasis on building on the team’s relationship with Insight stakeholders and our outsourced performance provider.
• To succeed in this role candidates must be solution focussed and be driven to work in a fast paced, dynamic and forward thinking environment.
• To work towards ensuring that the team both in London and in Pune is effective in its production, analysis and communication of performance numbers with the wider business.

Role accountabilities: • Assist in the setup of all newly traded securities within the securities database.
• Assist in the reconciliation of the funds NAV’s on a daily basis.
• Production, analysis and communication of daily summary performance and risk numbers.
• Provide detailed explanations to fund managers on performance and risk numbers.
• Ensure that queries are investigated appropriately and resolved satisfactorily within specified timeframes.
• Foster and maintain successful relationships between the team, its stakeholders and our outsourced providers.
• Identify Insight’s performance & risk measurement/analysis requirements and determine appropriate solutions to deliver them.
• Pro-active analysis and monitoring of performance & risk output to identify issues and sources of success.
• Oversight and direction of systems used in the generation or dissemination of daily performance & risk information.
• Please note this list is not exhaustive and you will be required to undertake further tasks in order to ensure business needs are met.
Work towards:
• Oversee performance analyst(s) within the UK team.
• Oversee performance analyst(s) within the Pune team.
• Collaborate with the UK Performance teams to meet the wider Insight requirements, also ensuring that shared systems / processes are fit for purpose and managed efficiently across Insight as a whole.
• Ensure that queries are managed appropriately and resolved satisfactorily within specified timeframes.
• Foster and maintain successful relationships between the team, its stakeholders and our outsourced providers.
• Maintain strong and regular contact with fund managers. Building trust and strong relationships with the fund managers and product specialists is key to the success of this role.
