Reputable pension fund with over £20 billion of assets require an experienced "Performance Analyst" to be part of their wider Investment Risk Management team. The Investment Risk team manage client needs and total fund top-down considerations alongside bottom-up decision making. The analyst will focus on investment performance measurement.

Reputable pension fund with over £20 billion of assets require an experienced "Performance Analyst" to be part of their wider Investment Risk Management team. The Investment Risk team manage client needs and total fund top-down considerations alongside bottom-up decision making. The analyst will focus on investment performance measurement.

The "Performance Analyst" will undertake the following;

  • Work to improve the investment team's decision making
  • Analyse and interpret performance information by running contribution and attribution analysis, with appropriate follow up and investigation
  • Ad-hoc research on performance queries
  • Communication of results and findings within the risk and performance team and the wider investment team
  • Development of performance tools, metrics and processes to support the firm's decision process in a multi-asset, multi fund context
  • Support maintenance of performance system and process
  • Provide help with data queries in a reasonable timeframe
  • Production of Board, Trustee and other required reporting materials, ensuring content and output are timely, accurate and relevant
  • Collaborate with internal teams as required, including the investment team, strategy team, technology team and client team. Promote the risk performance team's role and capabilities internally
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders as required (index vendors, performance providers etc)

Required Skills;

  • Maintain and improve BAU reporting, identifying improvements to content and operating model
  • Working with other teams and peers across the industry to improve the performance product
  • Ability to grow ideas into scalable and deliverable solutions
  • Detailed knowledge of financial markets and instruments
  • Attention to detail and skilled in handling multiple, complex tasks simultaneously
  • Good numerical and analytical skills, including computing skills such as Excel
  • Good verbal and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Degree in a financial or numerate discipline
  • Willing to study towards qualifications such as CIPM, CFA
