PhD/Msc Graduate – Hedge Fund Quant Researcher and Systematic Trader

My client is currently looking to hire a Mathematical PhD or Msc graduate, ideally with some relevant intern experience, to join their quantitative research team. This is an exceptional chance for candidates to join a leading firm, gaining expert knowledge of quantitative analytics and the financial markets as well as working alongside some of the brightest minds in this industry.

The Role

Working for my client will have you focusing on idea generation, backtesting of trading ideas, generating alpha and production of automated trading platforms for systematic trading strategies. You will also work on some high profile technology projects, gaining an excellent amount of business exposure to the financial markets. You will also be working with cross assets boosting your exposure and experience within these markets. Ultimately you will experience a steep learning curve working within this role which will provide you with a great opportunity to hone in on your skills.

Skills/Requirements

  • PhD/Msc level from a top University having studied a quantitative field such as: Mathematics, Statistics or Physics
  • If you have relevant internship experience this will be an advantage
  • A consistent, first class academic record is desired
  • You must have strong programming skills and knowledge in a major programming language: C++, Python or Java
  • Must be strong technically
