The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Policy Governance Analyst to Support the Policy Governance Manager in implementing and embedding Policy Governance across the M&G Group.
In this role you will be helping to establish the Policy Governance function, embed the Policy Governance framework and associated processes across the breadth of activities undertaken by the M&G Group. You will develop an end to end understanding of the Asset Management business; regulations and requirements enable the building of effective relationships and help establish new processes as the function matures.

The Team

The Policy Governance function is responsible for maintaining oversight of the governance over M&G Policies and provision of management information to the relevant Governance Committees. The function acts as the main point of contact for the M&G Policy Governance Framework and underlying processes, including assurance, for both M&G and Prudential Policies.

What will you be responsible for?

Your main responsibilities will be to support the Policy Governance Manager (PGM) to co-ordinate and maintain the effectiveness of Policy Governance Framework across the M&G Group.

This involves:

* Support the PGM in embedding a consistent format and approach to M&G Policies, challenging owners in a timely manner with constructive feedback.
* Lead relevant BAU activities and query handling from the business, Policy owners, and Prudential.
* Lead on establishing a process for Prudential Group Wide Operating Standards for M&G.
* Establish, with the PGM, a robust, proportionate, and scalable Policy Assurance process.
* Building constructive and supportive working relationships across the Group, with relationship responsibility for Business' areas compliance with the Framework.
* Provide management information to key stakeholders and relevant Governance Committees to a high standard and timely manner.
* Assist in the preparation of the Annual Statement of Compliance processes for M&G and Prudential, taking the lead for allocated Policies and Business Areas.

What we are looking for

We are ideally looking for you to have experience of working in financial services in Operational or enterprise risk, Legal or Compliance. Professional qualifications including ACA, CIMA, ACCA, IIA, LLB will be beneficial.
We are looking for you to show appreciation of client, Shareholder and regulator perspectives on governance.

You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills with along with strong influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships. Your planning and organisational skills will be very important along with being able to work with others with the ability to be self-sufficient.
