FIS a global leader in financial systems software are seeking a Pre-Sales (Sales Engineer), to join the Energy Trading & Risk Manager group in Canary Wharf.

The Pre-Sales Consultant (also referred to as the Sales Engineer) supports Sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “Technical Close” for our ETRM and Operations software. The Pre-Sales Consultant collaborates with Sales, Professional Services, Product Management, and other members of the Pre-Sales team to ensure that Sales and the Sales Opportunity receive the subject matter expertise or knowledge required to answer any questions the opportunity might have and ensure the proposed solution accurately addresses the opportunity’s needs.
•Innate ability to lead and execute customer facing software sales demonstrations, which includes:◦Be the Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in relation to our software to ensure proper Sales support during conversations and demonstrations with Sales opportunities:
◦Proactively leading Discovery sessions to understand client’s current business, pain points, and desired future state – then technically mapping out how our software will meet these needs
◦Gain and secure input from all necessary stakeholders with the opportunity to make sure all party’s needs are met
◦Proactively coordinate with internal sales, support, product management, development, and any other parties necessary to ensure appropriate support for the Sales demonstration
◦Creation of required presentation material
◦Creation of presentation scenarios within the ETRM product
◦Execution of the Sales demonstration or “Technical Close” portraying the benefits and values of our solution and ensuring all questions and needs from the opportunity have been answered to the best of our ability – proving our software should be their solution of choice
•Answer and/or lead the completion of Request for Information or Proposals (RFI/RFP’s) from Sales opportunities
•Achieve assigned “Revenue Influenced” or Sales quota
•Provide market feedback internally for constant improvement and growth of our product and our people via After Action reports or internal debrief sessions
Required Skills & Experience:
•Proven domain (client or vendor) expertise in one or more of the following. Energy and Commodity Trading:
◦Natural Gas Scheduling and Physical Management
•Prior ETRM experience either in Pre-Sales or Consulting, with hands on experience in either:
◦Or other ETRM provider
•Ability to travel 20-50%
•Reports directly to the Global Head of Pre-Sales
