Overall Purpose of the Role

Front to back project management of the integration process post the winning of a mandate and its approval by the Onboarding Committee.

Making sure that the client’s needs are met at all stages of the integration ensuring a timely and seamless experience for the client, and that Barclays Financial, Regulatory and Reputational risk is appropriately managed.

Key to the role is the provision a single point of contact and initial escalation, for both clients and internal stakeholders, during the on-boarding process.

Managing the prioritisation of the pipeline of New Clients, organic growth and regulatory updates & outreach. Ensuring the efficient allocation of Firm resources and managing of a dynamic pipeline.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Sales, KYC, Credit, Legal and Compliance and the different teams across Prime, EFG and FI to ensure global due diligence and legal requirements are met
  • Work with Clients, Sales and CNSG & Legal Advisory teams on the legal, business and credit points during documentation negotiations
  • Manage client specific non-BAU requirements, working with the Product teams where necessary
  • Working with the Integration team to ensure that the set up of new accounts is handled in an efficient manner and correctly reflects the Legal and Regulatory requirements of the documentation
  • Ensuring that the client’s connectivity and reporting requirements are taken into account in any documentation
  • Liaise with sales in preparation for and attending of client pitches and meetings to discuss Barclays' capabilities
  • Co-ordinate the London Prime Services pipeline, both organic growth and new clients
  • Co-ordinate with other areas during integration to ensure all relevant business lines' capabilities are cross-sold where possible
  • Work with fund service providers (Law firms, IT providers, Outsource MO providers Etc)
  • Smooth handover to the relevant Barclays trading desks and Client Service teams, ensuring that any non-BAU requirements, client specific risks and other 

Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Prime Service products and operation obtained in either a client service, client integration, Product / Business Management role dealing with hedge fund and institutional clients
  • Solid understanding of Financial Resources, Operational Risk and Legal Risk & Regulatory Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the various aspects of Prime Brokerage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the service provider landscape that hedge funds interact with (IT providers, law firms etc)
  • Understanding of Futures, Synthetic PB and repo an advantage

Regulated Role

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & FCA - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
