Role Summary:
QNB is currently looking for a Private Banking Credit Specialist to develop and managing relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) customers allocated to them, including members of the Ruling Family and Government officials. The key responsibility of this role is to provide a 'one-stop solution' for all Private Banking services including international and domestic banking, Regulated Mortgages and lending services. In relation to Regulated Mortgages; the incumbent is responsible for advising, arranging and the administration of Regulated Mortgages in line with the QNB London Training and Competency Framework.

Role Description:
  • Evaluate Private Client's financial data and support strategies based on the client's risk profile and personal financial statements
  • Implement strategies to achieve all volume, revenue, and profit targets for the Private Banking (HNW) segment
  • Responsive to the needs of the customer base and lead the customer focus initiative in the entire department
  • Act as the single point of contact for all International and domestic Private Banking services pertaining to HNW customers and increase their portfolio of Assets and Liabilities with the bank
  • Ensure customer complaints are handled / resolved in the most expeditious manner
  • Conduct visits to HNW customers to strengthen relationships through personalized interaction
  • Market the Group's products and services to the HNW customers (includes the Ruling Family members and the Government officials)
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective clients and cross sell a wide variety of Banking products and services including a comprehensive range of credit and deposits
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, especially for new customers, answer their queries and provide information about the regulated Mortgage products
  • Provide inputs and market feedback to the Head Of Retail and Senior Private Banker for developing a credible set of products to attract and retain valuable customers and thereby increase market share and profitability
  • Ensure the approved policies and procedures governing account opening operations (deposit and loan accounts) are adhered to with respect to the documentary and other requirements, including any pertinent legal requirements
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required on the HNW customer base
  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, the QNB London Compliance manual; Compliance Policies and Procedures and; the Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing Policy and Procedures Manual


Qualifications:
  • University Graduate to include further education; Cemap 1, 2 & 3
  • 7+ years' experience in managing accounts/relationships with HNW customers in a similar Financial Institution
  • Extensive knowledge of credit/lending to include loan analysis, credit policies and review
  • Possess sound understanding of the Private Banking (HNW) customer base, its needs and expectations
  • Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and any regulations for the private banking segment with at least 3 years' experience in local environment
  • Good understanding of the Private Banking (HNW) customer base, its needs and expectations
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Arabic is Essential
