* Document processes and controls * Quickly understand current processes and make recommendations and expand processes to extend to NFPE in an efficient and controlled manner * Have advanced MI development skills to help build and automate processes (applications like Tableau or SQL) * MI development skills using analytics tools and programming language * Demonstrate delivery in a dynamic and complex environment

Finance is structured into the following functions: Product Control, Controllers (covering Financial Control, Regulatory Reporting and Planning) Treasury, Tax, Cost Management & Analytics and Management Information), Chief Operating Officer Office (covering Internal Controls & Oversight and Finance Change Management)

The EMEA Finance division currently comprises approx. 200 employees across 8 different countries.

Role description:

As part of Nomura's Brexit Programme, the role is to deliver comprehensive business process and data model improvements to the Financial Reporting team to ensure readiness for Nomura's new German entity go-live support.

Key objectives critical to success:

  • Provide project management co-ordination
  • Maintain / refresh / refine financial models
  • Draft IT technical specification document
  • Draft other required documentation, e.g. SLA, policies & procedures, operating manual
  • Support development of processes / operating model required to provide services to German entity; this will include ensuring efficiencies / automation and control improvements are also applied to existing reporting processes
  • Engage with broader data model initiatives (e.g. BCBS239, Global Finance Technology Strategy) to improve operating efficiencySkills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Experience of working in a financial reporting team preferred but not essential
  • BCBS239 implementation experience (preferred but not essential)
  • BA skillset (experience designing and building data models)
  • Experience with Big Data Analytics tools (SAP Lumira, Tableau, Qlikview etc) and use thereon for dashboard building etc
  • Programming language (SQL, Python, R), used where relevant with Tableau / Excel
